This gothic mystery thriller is sure to hook.
What's up with Charlie? Is he some sort of crook?
Keep your eyes peeled,
As all will be revealed.
The film's well shot and has a beautiful look.
Dad's too busy, mum's too flighty & wild:
They're crappy parents with a delightful child.
Powerful film, full of emotion.
Luckily, there's her steps' devotion ...
It's an achievement to come back alive,
As, statistically, a quarter don't survive ...
These women are truly brave rebels,
And the orthodoxy think that they're devils.
Their government want to preach,
And don't care about free speech.
The charges got out of hand, on multiple levels!
He paints with boxer's glove,
In their ramshackle apartment above ...
Jung: adopted when he was very young,
And into a new world he was flung.
His art: a whimsical delight,
It tells his story of dark and light.
And along the way, he lost his mother tongue.
Horrifically, it's how many world powers behave:
Innocents killed, not even granted a grave.
But it should never be forgotten,
That this something truly rotten,
Came courtesy of the home of the brave.
Interesting (but too slow) insider's view:
Of what a huge team have to do,
To transition from the page ...
Pure blissful joy for any cinema fan,
As we follow a woman and a man ...
A terrible tragedy at sea:
Who survives? Just he.
We see him wilt ...
Don't go in expecting Drive,
Because sadly it doesn't arrive,
Scott-Thomas is skanky,
Gosling stares blankly,
Well-crafted but just doesn't thrive.
Murder mystery in a remote Aussie town,
Where lots of heavy stuff has gone down.
The great cast list is long,
Led by Pederson (very strong).
It's gorgeously shot (red, orange and brown).
It's a fairytale of dark and light,
As we learn of Carmencita's plight.
Told to music divine,
It's visually sublime ...
Raise-the-roof doco that's sure to uplift.
These magnificent singing voices: what a gift!
You'll wanna dance in your seats,
Hearing these womens' vocal feats.
They deserved more credit: they were stiffed!
There's this sex addict program (twelve steps),
And the sponsors are like eachother's reps.
Non-sufferers think: 'yeah, fun affliction!',
Though it's actually a real addiction.
(You'll love Neil's cross-city bicycle schleps!)
As Geoffrey Quinn, of Liverpool, he was born;
Became Paul Raymond, of strip clubs and porn.
(And made a ridiculous amount of money!)
Biopic: entertaining, sometimes funny.
As expected, he copped a lot of public scorn.
Magnificent film, many reasons to cite.
Eg: Complicated relationships, and when they fight ...
Superficial kids leading eachother astray,
Film is E True Hollywood Story quality, I say.
The pace is rapid,
But the whole thing's vapid.
It's art imitating life (not in a good way)!
Keith's a flawed and dissatisfied fellow:
A teacher; wants to play pro cello.
It's a slow burn.
Lauren looks like Laura Dern,
Her fam's disrupted by a visiting non-relo.
